28 Weeks!

How Far Along: 28 Weeks. Third Trimester!

Total Weight Gain: 9 Pounds total so far.

Movement: Hes been moving lots! Also, he has found my ribs an awesome place to hang out. He goes up there and he kicks at me while I push his little booty out. and 20 minutes later we play all over again. He finds it a great time and I feel like my ribs are broken :)

Sickness: No more morning sickness. Meat is still sort of rough. I can eat it here and there. But besides that my appetite seems pretty much back to normal!

Cravings: These last few weeks I have had A LOT of potato soup, and a lot of potato bowls from KFC. Not 100% sure if I would consider them "cravings" though.

Gender: Still boy!

Symptoms: Not very many symptoms going on lately. Its hard to sleep..i feel like i need to stretch out on literally the entire bed. My poor husband. And because Landon has taken up space around my ribs im having some troubles breathing and feel like my ribs are broken. But no back pain or anything like that in the last few weeks.

Happy or Moody: Overall I have been pretty good.. being tired has been making me moody but I seem to be in pretty good spirits!

Looking Forward to: Our 4D ultra sound tomorrow!! Whoohooo! and there is only about 2.5 more weeks till my sister gets here which is SO SO SO exciting! and of course this coming month ( November) my maternity shoot and baby shower are coming up as well!

Pumpkin Belly & Cupcakes!

I always see people who are pregnant around holidays painting their belly holiday related characters. Since I have siblings that are 8 and 6 I thought it would be so fun to let them paint my belly a pumpkin! So, i got some paint and some cupcake makings and we made a night out of it! :)

And the painting begins:

While we waited for the paint to dry so we could make faces, the kids got their faces painted by Neal :)

After the paint dried we started on the face. ( This was a long process and a lot of standing for this 6 1/2 month pregnant chick) But sooo much fun!

Finished Pumpkin.

After we did the painting and all 3 of us ( well....6 including the parents and Kristina) got cleaned up we decided we should probably frost our halloween cupcakes!! These lucky kids stayed up 3 hours past their bedtime for lots of fun. The holidays with family are always the best <3

Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Day

Today we remember all those babies who have gone...way to soon. Today really pulls at my heart. My first baby I lost January 28th 2012. I had only known I was pregnant for a few weeks but that was my baby. I had planned for that baby and loved that baby from the moment I saw a positive on the test. Even though I am pregnant now with a healthy little boy, my due date still sits heavily in my mind. I feel Landon's little kicks and learn his personality and wonder what kind of personality that little one would have had. Would he/she have been a day or night baby. Would he/she kick hard or light. Would she/he push back when I pushed at my belly. What cravings would we have had together? These thoughts make me sad. Even though all of this is sad I know that my baby is in a better place and loved and I will some day get to meet him/her. I know everything happens for a reason but I don't think that one day, week, or month passes to this day without remembering my sweet little love. <3

25 Weeks Pregnant!

How Far Along: 25 Weeks! Already.

Total Weight Gain: 7 Pounds! ( Finally gained at this appointment)

Movement: Mostly he's the most active at night time. I feel him on and off throughout the day but its mostly him just rolling around. At night time he goes crazy kicking and whatever else he finds fun to do in there :)

Sickness: No more morning sickness. Meat is still sort of rough. I can eat it here and there. But besides that my appetite seems pretty much back to normal!

Cravings: Movie Theater Popcorn.Lots of Butter and an Icee. I have been wanting that ALL WEEK!

Gender: Boy

Symptoms: Lots of back pain going on. Not much of a bath person but late at night they have been a life saver. They also help me relax enough to fall asleep. Also, I have had heart burn twice this last month. I have never had it in my life so, that was new for me. Wasnt to bad to handle. Both times it lasted about an hour then went away.

Happy or Moody: Getting slightly moody. But overall I haven't been to bad.

Looking Forward to: Our 28 week appointment & our 4D Ultra Sound later that day. Jimmy will finally get to see him at the actual Ultra Sound this time! Can't wait to see him probably for the last time before he's here!

Pregnant Sisters!

CATS OUT OF THE BAG!!!!

My wonderful sister is pregnant with her second little baby! I have obviously known for...the entire time she has been pregnant. Even knew before her husband ( cause i am clearly awesome) but she wasn't public with the announcement so I waited to put it on here as well! She is 5 weeks behind me due February 23rd! This means neither of us are going to be available for the others birth...which frankly..really sucks. BUT im sure not long after the birth of both we will meet up in Colorado so we can all meet the new babies! Gah, I can't believe we are pregnant together. We use to promise each other when we were younger that if one of us got pregnant, the other would purposely get pregnant just so we could be pregnant together. However, this was not planned and that makes it that much sweeter!!

Congrats to the Miller family on their new little blessing!!

20 Weeks Pregnant! Half Way Done!

How Far Along: 20 Weeks. We're half way done!!

Total Weight Gain: 0 Pounds still

Movement: Still mostly night time. And pretty light movement at that. he's still a little guy :)

Sickness: As far as nausea goes, food is still difficult but getting better slightly. As far as other types of sickness's...I have had a cold for weeks now. Its just getting worse and worse. Im surprised I even look like a normal human in this picture. haha. Also, this week I ended up going to the Maternity emergency room for major pelvic pain. Turns out I just had a bladder infection. Thankfully we are getting that cleared up!

Cravings: Anything potato!! Mashed. Fries. Baked. You name it, if its a potato, ill eat it!! Also, one day I had a random craving for pumpkin pie. Went to 3 stores to find one and all..can you believe it..ALL 3 stores were out. So I homemade one. It got rid of the craving pretty well but homemade ( at least this one) is not as good as store bought processed pumpkin pie!

Gender: Boy, of course!

Happy or Moody: Well, overall im happy!! Any moodiness that I may have I think has more to do with my very annoying head cold than anything pregnancy related.

Looking forward to:Football Season. Which is fast approaching. GO BEARS!

Anatomy Scan. 18 Weeks.

Today my little man had his Anatomy Scan. This Ultra Sound makes sure he has all his organs and that everything is working right. Also makes sure he is growing correctly. Not a whole lot of exciting news to tell about this Ultra Sound. But my little guy weighs 8 ounces and is in the 30th percentile!

Unfortunately no one was able to attend this Ultra Sound with me so I brought my little sister Leah. She was...a lot more interested in Angry Birds than the Ultra Sound which was okay. Seeing my little boy is the best in the world and I can't wait till he's here! We are almost to the half way mark! Only two more weeks!

Gender Ultra Sound!

Today is the day we had our Gender Scan at 16weeks 2days to see if baby Verley is a boy or girl. Jimmy couldn't come because hes out of town working so my mom, step-dad, and mother- in- law Karen came. This is pretty much the first time I have gotten a good look at baby since 8 weeks and it sure does not look like a blob anymore. My baby looks like an actual baby!! This is probably one of the most exciting things I have ever experienced by far!

When she first put the doppler thing on my belly, you could see that baby was not wanting to move. At all. After a few minutes of nothing baby started tapping its foot like we were bothering him/her.She pushed on my belly so much to get him/her to be active it was like she was beating me up ;). Eventually I got up and did a few jumps around the room and baby was a little more cooperative afterwards. From the moment we started the ultra sound we knew the gender. It was so obvious. But every soon to be mom loves those crotch shots! We had about a 30 minute Ultra Sound and it was just amazing! I already cannot wait for the next! Which unbelievably is just 2 short weeks away!

SO finally, I introduce to you all our sweet perfect baby BOY!!

Bleeding Scare at 14 Weeks

Went to work today. Normal day. Busy and laughing with Jeri. I went in to go to the bathroom and had some bleeding. At 14 weeks that is very very terrifying. I wasn't completely sure if I was just over reacting or if it was normal. About 20 minutes after seeing this a few friends and my mom convinced me that calling into ask Tara wouldn't be a terrible idea. Tara asked the normal questions "how much", "are you cramping" "any intercourse lately", " any strenuous activity that isn't normal for you".
After answering these questions Tara said to call back in a few hours if the bleeding hadnt stopped. At this point I was a little freaked so I called my birth Coach Kaye Dixon. She just happened to be at the office for normal checkups  and told me to come by and sit with her and chit chat. So i left work and went down to my OB's office. A little spooked by all this crazyness i sat in the room with Kaye and we talked and waited for Glen to come in to tend to her.

As soon as he walked in he greeted her ( of course), then looked over and said " Didn't you call Tara earlier about bleeding?" Yes. "How is that going?" Still Bleeding. "Okay. We are gonna get you inf or an Ultra Sound as son as were done with Kaye".

HOW AWESOME IS THAT? Not only...did he know I called earlier when I didnt even talk to him, he made sure that I would feel better before leaving. This is why..my doctor and midwife are seriously the best. THEY CARE!

Anyway, Ultra Sound and Pelvic exam showed that my Cervix was irritated. Which could be the reason for the bleeding. Nothing major thank goodness. and what a relief.
Also, Doc says looks like our little baby has "outdoor plumbing". Eeeek!
Can't know for sure for another two weeks though!!!

Here is the ultra sound picture I got!
